Terms are five weeks long and some of the week day classes from 11-2 will not run during the school holidays, so terms and fees will be adjusted accordingly. Classes are $370. Fees include tuition, model, and use of tools. Materials are not included. Payment must be made before term start.

Classes are kept small to ensure personal attention is given to you. We have no more than 8 students in a class.

As the numbers in each class are small, we have students of differing standards in the room together, all receiving the assistance that they require from the teacher. Special beginner or advanced workshops are held throughout the year.

Our classes use professional artist models who have a great deal of experience. We select a number of different poses to ensure that you have a sculpture that reflect a body in motion, not a static statue.

If you are under 18 years old, you will need to be interviewed and have parental approval.

Special Workshops

Throughout the year we run special workshops featuring guest sculptors or using a variety of different materials. The dates will be posted on our website.

Introduction to Sculpture Techniques. For beginners or those with limited experience. The workshop teaches fundamental sculpting techniques including how to construct an armature and a demonstration on modeling a 3D form using the profiling method. This workshop is designed to provide the skills and confidence required to continue with sculpting at home or in a class situation.

Advanced Sculpture Intensive Life Study. For more advanced sculptors. This is an intensive 20 hour workshop divided into four five hour sessions. This workshop is intended to provide an intensive sculpting experience with selected life models.

Mould making. Takes you through the process of making a silicone rubber mould of your sculpture.

Introduction to bronze casting. Gives you the opportunity to take one of your sculptures step by step through the bronze process.

Miscellaneous workshops and demonstrations. Various workshops and demonstrations will be available such as drawing, exploring different mediums, carving and intensive figure studies etc. Guest sculptors will be brought in to run workshops and to do demonstrations. The workshops will cater for beginners through to advanced sculptors.
